Florida’s archery tournaments span the state from Pensacola to Miami. Below is a regional guide to where the major 2026 sanctioned events are held. Most competitive Florida archers travel across regions because state championships rotate venues each year.
Jacksonville · Gainesville · Newberry · Bunnell
North Florida is the geographic heart of Florida archery. Easton Newberry Archery Center (Newberry, FL) hosts USA Archery’s flagship events including the Easton Foundations Gator Cup (USAT Qualifier), Indoor Nationals Florida site, JOAD Indoor Nationals, Florida State Indoor Championship, and the full Spider Cup series. Gator Bowmen (Gainesville) runs ASA State Qualifiers, FAA regionals, the State Field Championship, and the Sunshine State Games. North Florida Archers and Fort Caroline Archery Club anchor Jacksonville’s tournament calendar.
Orlando · Lakeland · Casselberry · Eustis · Melbourne · Fort Meade · Daytona
Central Florida is the busiest region for 3D archery. Ridge Archers at Tenoroc (Lakeland) and Central Florida Archery Club (Fort Meade) host ASA State Qualifiers and FAA 3D regionals. East River Archery (Casselberry, near Orlando) is a premier indoor venue hosting the FAA JOAD State Indoor Championship and the East River Vegas-Style Shoot. Brevard Archers (Melbourne), Quails Run (Eustis), and Daytona Archers (New Smyrna Beach) round out the region’s ASA Qualifier circuit. The FAA State Safari 3D Championship typically runs at Brevard Archers.
Tampa · Sarasota · Bradenton · Fort Myers · Land O’ Lakes · Parrish
Southwest Florida is home to Archery Sarasota (Sarasota) — the technical studio behind this calendar — and to Tampa Bay Sporting Clays & Archery (Land O’ Lakes), host of the ASA Florida State Championship. Lee County Archers (North Fort Myers) runs the FAA South Regional 3D, State International Round Championship, and is a common site for the NFAA North American Field Archery Championships. Suncoast Archers (Parrish) is the region’s ASA State Qualifier venue.
Miami · Fort Lauderdale · Delray Beach · Sebring
Southeast Florida’s archery scene is anchored by Fort Lauderdale Archers (host of the FAA FITA 1440 State Outdoor Target Championship) and Gold Coast Archers (Delray Beach, host of the FAA FITA Field State Championship and the rotating FAA Classic 600). Highlands Bowhunters in Sebring runs the region’s ASA State Qualifier. Fort Lauderdale Archers is typically one of the multi-site venues for the FAA 18M State Indoor Championship and the NFAA Southeast Indoor Sectional.
Statewide · shoot at the venue nearest you
Several FAA and NFAA state championships are run as multi-site events: you shoot the same scoring round at your nearest approved venue, and scores are combined across locations to determine state champions. These events let archers from any corner of Florida compete for a state title without traveling.

If you’re new to competitive archery or moving to Florida from another state, the alphabet soup of tournaments (USAA, NFAA, FAA, ASA, OAS, NASP, 4-H, JOAD, USAT, NAFAC) can be confusing. Here’s the map of how it all fits together.
Indoor target is shot at a fixed distance (18m is the World Archery standard; some NFAA events use 20 yards) at paper faces. Indoor season in Florida runs roughly December through March. Outdoor target extends the same discipline to longer distances (usually 50m or 70m for recurve, 50m for compound), with flagship rounds being the 720 Round (72 arrows) and the FITA 1440 (144 arrows). Outdoor season runs March through October. Field archery is shot on a marked or unmarked course through the woods with varied distances (5–80 yards) and angled shots. Florida hosts both NFAA-format Field and World Archery FITA Field state championships. 3D archery is shot at life-sized animal targets on a wooded course — ASA (Archery Shooters Association) is the dominant 3D circuit nationally, and Florida is one of its busiest states.
USA Archery (USAA) is the U.S. national governing body recognized by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. USAA runs the USAT Series (USA Archery Team Series) — four qualifier events nationwide plus a final with a $50,000 prize fund — along with Indoor Nationals, Outdoor Nationals, and Florida’s State Indoor and State JOAD championships. The Easton Foundations Gator Cup at Easton Newberry Archery Center (Newberry, FL) is USAT Qualifier #1 every spring.
NFAA (National Field Archery Association) is the U.S. authority for field, indoor target, and 3D archery. FAA (Florida Archery Association) is Florida’s NFAA state charter and runs every FAA state tournament listed above. NFAA also runs the Southeast Indoor Sectional (where FAA states and the Sectional run concurrently in Florida) and the biennial North American Field Archery Championships (NAFAC).
ASA (Archery Shooters Association) runs the major 3D circuit in the U.S. Florida has approximately thirteen ASA State Qualifiers spread across the state between January and May. To shoot the ASA Florida State Championship (July 18–19, 2026 at Tampa Bay Sporting Clays), you must compete in at least one sanctioned State Qualifier. Florida’s state champion earns the right to shoot the ASA Classic — ASA’s national championship. Several Florida qualifiers are FL/GA Duals, meaning the same day’s score counts toward both Florida and Georgia state standings.
Easton Foundations operates Easton Newberry Archery Center and runs the Spider Cup series (six local tournaments across the year), Precision 3D Challenge, and the Bow Hunters Challenge. Easton Newberry also hosts most USAA flagship events at the Florida site.
For most disciplines, the path is the same. You start at a qualifier or local event, which is open to any registered archer. A strong qualifier score (or simply participation, depending on the discipline) earns you the right to shoot the state championship. State-level results feed into national championships — USAT Qualifiers for USA Archery, Indoor and Outdoor Nationals, NFAA Sectionals and Nationals, and the ASA Classic. Many Florida archers shoot across all three organizations in a given year because the seasons layer on top of each other.
USA Archery’s youth pipeline is JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development). Florida hosts the FAA JOAD State Indoor Championship at East River Archery (January) and the USA Archery Florida State JOAD Outdoor Championship at Easton Newberry (September). JOAD Indoor Nationals run at the Florida Easton Newberry site in February. Younger and school-age archers shoot in OAS (Olympic Archery in Schools), NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program), and 4-H programs, whose state tournaments are scheduled through each program’s state coordinator and populate this calendar as they’re announced.
Adult competitors shoot in Senior or Master age divisions depending on the organization’s rulebook. Para archery (wheelchair, visually impaired, and other categories) is integrated into USA Archery events — the Gator Cup, for example, doubles as a Para Qualifier.
Florida’s tournament calendar follows a predictable annual rhythm:

To shoot the ASA Florida State Championship (July 18–19, 2026 at Tampa Bay Sporting Clays & Archery), you must compete in at least one sanctioned ASA State Qualifier. Florida hosts approximately 13 ASA State Qualifiers across the state between January and May 2026. Several are FL/GA Dual Qualifiers (count for both states). This page lists every 2026 FL ASA Qualifier with dates, venues, and registration.
USA Archery Indoor Nationals hosts a Florida site at Easton Newberry Archery Center, 24880 NW 16th Ave, Newberry, FL 32669. The 57th Annual Indoor Nationals runs February 5–8, 2026, with the JOAD Indoor Nationals (Florida site) February 6–8. The Easton Foundations Gator Cup is USAT Qualifier #1 of the USA Archery Team Series season. It runs April 17–19, 2026 at Easton Newberry Archery Center in Florida, preceded by a Mixed Team Round on April 16. Winners earn spots in the USAT Series Final ($50K prize fund). The Gator Cup also serves as a Para Qualifier.
Yes. Florida has dedicated youth archery pathways: USA Archery JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) events including the FAA JOAD State Indoor Championship (January 16–18, 2026 at East River Archery), the USA Archery JOAD Indoor Nationals Florida site (February 6–8, 2026), and the USA Archery FL State JOAD Outdoor Championship (Easton Newberry, dates announced annually). Scholastic programs including OAS (Olympic Archery in Schools), NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program), and 4-H archery also host tournaments throughout Florida — their schedules are published through their state coordinators and will appear on this page as they are announced.
USA Archery is the U.S. national governing body for Olympic-style target archery and administers USAT Qualifiers and Indoor Nationals. NFAA (National Field Archery Association) focuses on field, indoor target, and 3D archery; FAA (Florida Archery Association) is Florida's NFAA state charter and runs state-level NFAA-format events. ASA (Archery Shooters Association) is the major 3D circuit, with state qualifiers feeding the ASA Florida State Championship which feeds the ASA Classic. Florida archers often compete across all three.
